But things change when it comes to playing , or subjecting the Exynos 1280 to tasks that require a greater load on the GPU.

Software

The software may be the aspect that can elevate the Galaxy A53 above its rivals in the mid-range segment. And it is that, today, very few devices are capable of offering what the new Samsung model offers in this regard.

It has One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 , and therefore, with many of the new features that debuted together with the Galaxy S22 at the beginning of the year. Among them, the possibility of generating customizable color palettes and applying them to the system theme, or the new photography functions present in the camera app.

One UI 4.1 works well on the Galaxy A53, although it is still a heavy layer for a mobile in this category. Unlike what happens in more powerful models, there is not so much ease in the interface when moving between the different menus, probably due to the enormous number of functions, pre-installed applications and additions that Samsung introduces in its software.

Where the Galaxy A53 is unrivaled today is in the support section. With four guaranteed operating system updates , and a minimum of five years of security updates, it is the most widely supported mid-range smartphone on the market today.

The 4500 mAh battery of the Galaxy A52 5G already offered a good result last year. Therefore, it is not surprising that the 500 mAh introduced by the Galaxy A53 help improve these figures.

But let’s start at the beginning. On paper, here’s what the Galaxy A53’s cameras offer :

The results are, broadly speaking, of very good quality in most situations, even at night or in dark environments. Dynamic range has been significantly improved over the last installment, and portrait mode now offers a more natural blur effect coupled with more accurate foreground subject cropping.

The ultra wide-angle camera , without being one of the best of its kind, is capable of capturing good quality images in most scenes, and night photos can pose problems in terms of sharpness.
