How to Enable Battery Percentage on iPhone?

As they say, it’s an exclusive feature of iOS 16, enabled in the fifth beta version of Apple’s operating system. Although this is something that will be present in the final version of the system which will be released for all users in mid-September.

New way to show battery percentage in iPhone status bar changed, now appearing inside the icon and not next to it. To enable Battery Percentage on your iPhone with iOS 16, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Now go to the Battery section.
  3. Activate the first option: battery percentage.

When you enable this feature, the battery icon changes and instead of displaying a full or empty battery displays full battery with a number indicating the percentage the iPhone has left. When you enable Low Power Mode, the battery percentage will be automatically enabled by displaying the icon in yellow.

Similarly, if you charge the iPhone, you will see the percentage inside the battery icon with a small charge icon next to it. So the battery icon will change depending on the moment. For now, even if you don’t turn it on, you can still see your battery percentage by swiping down in Control Center.

In iOS 16 beta 5, the ability to show battery percentage in the status bar not available on iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. We don’t know if this is due to a resolution and screen size issue or if this compatibility will be extended in future releases.
