You’ll need to provide a credit card to sign up for the trial, and it will automatically renew after the month. However, you can unsubscribe at any time, including right after signing up, to ensure you’re not charged. You can continue to use Office for the remainder of your free month after cancellation.

After joining the trial, you can download the full versions of these Microsoft Office apps for Windows PC and Mac. You’ll also have access to full versions of apps on other platforms, including larger iPads.

This trial will give you full access to a Microsoft 365 Family (formerly Office 365) plan. You’ll get Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and 1TB of OneDrive storage. In practice, that means Word, Excel, and PowerPoint offer the full experience for free on iPad Mini and older 9.7-inch iPads. You’ll need a paid subscription to get document editing features on an iPad Pro or newer 10.2-inch iPad.
