For the 2013-2014 school years, the blackboard Sarasota was in co-production and use the legacy Blackboard Learn ANGEL edition platform. Blackboard Learn is used for all training, instructional focus, guide development, deployment, and other tasks. The district will eventually transition all its ANGEL content over to Blackboard Learn. Common Core State Standards
Teachers and students now have the ability to use the technology to enhance their lessons with the Common Core State Standards. On August 2, 2010, the State Board of Education adopted the standards. These standards are for academic content. These standards include higher reading levels, deeper meaning and more academic language. This type of language is used most often in business reports, historical documents, or classic literature.

Blackboard Learn is a tool that can help teachers and students transition to CCSS. This platform is optimized for online learning and integrates seamlessly into Keiser Learning. The website for the school district will provide links to course materials as well as information about staff. After the transition is completed, you will have access to many online courses and a Brick and Mortar option.
EdExploreSRQ
The Patterson Foundation, a philanthropic foundation, has the mission to improve Sarasota County’s educational experience. The recent announcement by the Patterson Foundation of an Endowment Partnership for EdExploreSRQ has provided funding for the program to reach all students, even those from low-income neighborhoods. Its role has changed from being a catalyst to being a facilitator. Now, the foundation is responsible for ensuring sustainability through its EdExploreSRQ Endowment Fund.

Keiser University offers online courses. You need to learn how to get there. This university uses the Blackboard Learn Learning Management System.
